Cyclist in life-threatening crash

A 17-year-old cyclist has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Hampshire.
The crash involved the cyclist and a silver Ford Galaxy on the southbound carriageway of Woodside Avenue, Eastleigh, on Friday evening.
Despite his injuries, he is in a stable condition in Southampton General Hospital, police said.
The driver of the car is assisting police with their inquiries.
The road closed for three hours for a full investigation of the scene.
Police would like to speak to the drivers of two cars directly behind the Ford at time of the crash.
